BAKERY TO SELL SPECIAL CUPCAKE TO HELP ABUSED PUPPY - “The Sweet Retreat will release a special edition cupcake to raise money for Franco, a 1-year-old pocket pit bull who was injured in attack by a group of teenagers…”
A one-year-old Pocket Pitbull named Franco was rescued after being kicked around by a group of teenagers. He is now being cared for by an organization called Secondhand Hounds. A store called Sweet Retreat in Minneapolis will be selling special “Franco Cupcakes” to help Franco’s recovery efforts. Read more from kare11.com:

The cupcake will be chocolate with vanilla icing, have Franco’s photo on it, and will sell for $3.25 with $1.50 of it going directly to Second Hand Hounds for Franco’s extensive veterinary care.
As KARE reported over the weekend a Blaine convenience store worker says she saw a group of teens kicking Franco around in the parking lot “like he was a football”. The worker intervened, grabbed the dog and called police.
The teens got away, but the woman who saved the dog took him to a veterinarian.
"It just pulls at my heartstrings," said Sweet Retreat owner Robin Johnson when asked why she was staging the fundraiser. "I can do something about it, and I am."

Franco Cupcakes sound delicious! Let’s hope Franco makes a full recovery and is adopted into a great home. Click here for the full story, here to learn more about Sweet Retreat, and here for Secondhand Hounds.
