WORLD’S SMALLEST WORKING DOG - She went from homeless to a Guinness world record for the smallest working dog in the world”

A Yorkshire Terrier named Lucy is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world’s smallest working dog. Lucy is a certified therapy dog and visits hospitals, nursing homes, and schools by way of an organization called Leashes of Love. She is 5.7 inches tall and weighs about 2 1/2 pounds.

Approximately four years ago,  Lucy was rescued by her owner, Sally Leone Montufar from New Jersey. Lucy was very weak but was nursed back to health. Despite her small size and sickly beginnings, Lucy now brings joy to many people. Click here for Lucy’s Facebook page, and here for more about Leashes of Love. (Photos from Lucy’s Facebook page)
