HOMELESS PIT BULL PUPPY HELPS BLIND BROTHER SURVIVE ON THE STREETS - "…Jermaine was doing everything possible to stay close to his blind brother and Jeffrey leaned on Jermaine for support."
An eight-month-old Pit Bull named Jermaine was discovered wandering around the streets of Philadelphia with his blind brother, Jeffrey. It appears that Jermaine was acting as a guide for Jeffrey, who is blind. They are currently staying at the Operation Ava shelter and officials will ensure that the two are adopted as a pair. Operation Ava is an organization that promotes adoption, fostering, rescue, and overall care of dogs. Read more from the Operation Ava website:
Jeffrey and Jermaine were found wandering and stray in Philadelphia. They were taken to Animal Control where our lifesaving director spotted them. It was immediately apparent that Jeffrey and Jermaine were scared and confused but that Jermaine was doing everything possible to stay close to his blind brother and Jeffrey leaned on Jermaine for support. They are so fond of each other and needed special care to find them a home together.
We wish to thank the many rescues who have expressed concern for these two but Jeffrey and Jermaine are safe here until we find a forever home for them together. We are a 501 (c) 3 non-profit rescue and no- kill shelter so we are committed to finding a secure and permanent situation for them. If in the future we need help we are always happy to reach out for assistance but we want to give this appeal some time. Please feel free to contact our director of life saving at firstname.lastname@example.org in case we need your help. Of course we welcome your referrals if you hear of anyone who interested in adopting them.
Jermaine and Jeffrey have already been through a lot in their short lives. Hopefully they are adopted into a great home where they can live happily together. Click here for the full story. (Photos from the Chester County SPCA Facebook page)
