TOUGH DOG SURVIVES TWO GUNSHOTS TO THE HEAD - “Despite his horrific ordeal, Bob still wags his tail when he sees a human.”
Bob, a two-year-old Bull Mastiff, was discovered abandoned with two bullets in his head. Miraculously, Bob did not die and is currently receiving treatment at the Donnybrook Animal Health Centre in Australia. Here’s the story from The Sunday Times:

The spirited two-year-old was found abandoned in the bush in Balingup on the brink of starvation on Monday.
When he was taken to the Donnybrook Animal Health Centre for treatment, staff discovered he had been shot in the head twice.

“I think it is fairly clear the intention was to kill Bob for whatever reason,” he said. “The injuries were inflicted to his head. Someone has then left him in that sort of state. It’s hard to know if they were under the impression that they had killed him. But it is clear they intended to put him to sleep.”
Bob still has the bullets in his head.

“Given what he has been through, you would expect him to be timid, but he still wags his tail when you go out to visit him, which is really encouraging. He really seems like a loving, good-natured dog.”

Bob still has a ways to go and unfortunately he lost an eye, but the chances of recovery are good. He certainly is one tough dog. Hopefully he will find a loving home where he can finally be safe. Click here for the full story.
