HELLO FROM NORWAY - my friend took these pictures of a dog named Anzu, a black Shiba Inu, in Bergen, Norway.  Such a beautiful dog.

Some of my photos from today’s pet expo.

DOG GETS HEAD STUCK BETWEEN ROCKS
Toby the Shiba Inu was literally caught between a rock and a hard place. He was chasing a squirrel and stuck his head between some rocks in his yard. Toby could not pull his head back out. Here’s the story from 10news.com:

The dog, Toby, was chasing a squirrel when his head became stuck between the rocks in his owner’s backyard water fountain.“My wife called me and I came home from work, I couldn’t believe it. We started to disasemble our waterfall, and we put lube on him to try to get him loose,” said owner Tim Ellis. When those efforts were exhausted, the fire department and Animal Control officers were called in to help.
“A vet tech came out and sedated him to calm him down. His neck was swollen from his efforts so he was stuck pretty tight. This breed’s head is shaped like an arrow so it was wedged in there pretty good,” said Ellis.

Fortunately for Toby he was rescued and was held for observation overnight. Hopefully he will return to his yard soon. But he should be careful of those pesky squirrels! Click here for the full story.
